Our Mission

To disciple young men and women in becoming self-employed, God-directed “missionaries” to a world in need. This will be accomplished through immersion in a family-based, agrarian lifestyle - emphasizing a practical training in manual labor and “primitive godliness.”

Quotes

“Before the final visitation of God’s judgments upon the earth, there will be, among the people of the Lord, such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children.” GC 464

“All who are under the training of God need the quiet hour for communion with their own hearts, with nature, and with God. In them is to be revealed a life that is not in harmony with the world, its customs, or its practices... When every other voice is hushed, and in quietness we wait before Him, the silence of the soul makes more distinct the voice of God. He bids us, “Be still, and know that I am God.” This is the effectual preparation for all labor for God.” MH 58

"But the men who held fast God's principles of life dwelt among the fields and hills. They were tillers of the soil and keepers of flocks and herds, and in this free, independent life, with its opportunities for labor and study and meditation, they learned of God and taught their children of His works and ways." ED 33-34

"In God's plan for Israel every family had a home on the land, with sufficient ground for tilling. Thus were provided both the means and the incentive for a useful, industrious, and self-supporting life. And no devising of men has ever improved upon that plan. To the World's departure from it is owing, to a large degree, the poverty and wretchedness that exist today." MH 183-184

It’s beginning to look a lot like…winter!

The trees are almost completely bare, and we’ve already had some frost which was the “grand finalé” for the tomatoes and peppers.

The C.S.A. bins are loaded with luscious looking greens, squash, broccoli, turnips, different varieties of baby lettuce heads and sweet potatoes, amongst other things.

We are thankful for a bountiful harvest of sweet potatoes – thanks to neighbors and friends for helping us get them out of the field!  More than one person has commented that these are the best sweet potatoes they have ever tasted…

…if you’re in the area, come by and get some for your family!

Hey y’all…it’s fall!

We have recently transitioned from the Summer CSA to the Winter CSA, and it’s that happy time of year when both lettuce and tomatoes are growing on the farm.  :-)

Bountiful Blessings Farm is well-known for it’s Winter CSA, and it’s exciting to see the bins being filled with fresh produce for local families to enjoy.

What would fall be without some pumpkins and decorative squash?

“Christian farmers can do real missionary work

in helping the poor to find homes on the land,

and in teaching them how to till the soil and make it productive.”

It was great to be at ASI, and we enjoyed meeting friends, both old and new!

A week ago, we experienced a storm which resulted in about 4 inches of rain falling in the space of an hour or so.  There was so much water, the creek rose above the walking bridge.   Thank God there was no major damage done to any of the crops or buildings.

On Monday, we took a field trip to a nearby farm, and even helped weed one of their plots.  It’s always educational to see how things are done on other farms.

The big news this week, is that we are taking tomorrow off, and are going canoeing on the Buffalo River!  Can’t have all work and no play…
